Natural diamonds

As the only internationally recognized substitute currency, diamonds are valued equally in all countries of the world.

Natural diamonds are much rarer than gold and are among the most valuable materials in the world. The price trend over the past decades confirms that diamonds are also referred to as the ‘hardest currency in the world.’ They are not only the hardest material in the world but also one of the most stable in value.

Therefore, we trade exclusively in natural diamonds. Although the production cost of a synthetic diamond today is about 25 percent of the value of a natural diamond, they possess neither emotional nor financial value. Moreover, there is no secondary market for synthetic diamonds. For this reason alone, they are unsuitable as an investment. The production costs for synthetic diamonds will continue to decrease, and in a few years, when synthetic diamonds can be produced at a fraction of today’s costs, they will effectively have no value. The supply of natural diamonds is likely to be exhausted soon, and as a result, prices will not only remain constant but will even continue to rise.

To ensure that the diamonds you acquire through us are of natural origin and not synthetically produced, each of our diamonds undergoes a very strict, multi-layered testing process, where synthetic diamonds can be 100 percent ruled out.

We trade exclusively in natural diamonds. Although the production cost of a synthetic diamond today is about 25 percent of the value of a natural diamond, they possess neither emotional nor financial value.

Firstly, each of our diamonds is inspected by an independent, internationally recognized institute, which confirms not only the quality but also the natural origin of the diamonds. Since a natural diamond travels from the mine in sealed containers to hermetically secured sorting centers, is sorted under high-security conditions, and can only be touched by a few select experts, a complete trace of origin can be provided for every diamond. This is also necessary to comply with the ‘Kimberley Process’ and the strict regulations by UN and EU directives to prove the conflict-free status of each diamond. All internationally recognized institutes verify this, and the customer automatically receives a certificate proving the diamond’s natural and conflict-free origin.

Secondly, contrary to popular belief, synthetic diamonds are not absolutely identical to natural diamonds. Chemically they may be, but natural diamonds always contain nitrogen atoms due to the formation process, which are not found in artificial diamonds. Additionally, a natural diamond never contains residues of metallurgic flux used in the production of synthetic diamonds. This means that, besides age determination (only possible in a laboratory), all our diamonds are also checked for UV light transmission, magnetism, and electrical conductivity, even in the presence of our customers. These properties are only found in synthetic diamonds.
