Fancy Color Diamond prices continue their upward trend in 2026

Prices for fancy color diamonds rose by 0.9 percent in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year, according to the Fancy Color Research Foundation (FCRF¹). This suggests that the market remains stable, with no signs of significant or widespread price volatility, the FCRF added.

Among yellow fancy color diamonds, the intense hues claimed the top three spots on the list of most in-demand stones. Leading the way was Fancy Intense Yellow at 1 carat, followed by Fancy Vivid at 5 carats and Fancy Vivid at 10 carats.

Among pink diamonds as well, Fancy Intense Pink at 1 carat topped the list of price gains.

Among blue diamonds, Fancy Blue at 1 carat ranks among those with the strongest price performance.

The trend of selective demand shifting toward high-quality stones and away from commercial goods is more pronounced than ever. This stability and solid price performance document that the trend toward fancy color diamonds in small and medium sizes continues to hold.
